They built a strong foundation and when it was clear they belonged together neither of them were brave enough to take that leap Once one of them had the guts to take the leap the other ran in fear of losing it all and being stuck Their past story although full of fun and love has some serious pain laced throughout The story of how they lost their way was horrible and devastating to one of them What has happened to them since makes for an angsty drama filled struggle and you know that means some hot sexual tension and brutal honesty Ten years down the road they are thrown together in what I say is a twist of fate Nate is an angry boy turned man and Maddison is scorned and lost Pushing his demons aside Nate saves Maddison and once the day is new and they come face to face their story begins to unfold and unravel all over this little bed and breakfast Nate calls home Nasty attitudes clashing.

Realizations of true feelings coming forth and confessions of the deep dark tortured secrets one holds pretty much sums it up Nate may be a little over the top in his addictions and his rage BUT he does have a story to tell and maybe it seems he could have done better he simply didn t and now he is suffering with those choices Maddison doesn t realize the damage she has caused and despite her being sorry and wanting to mend bridges she really has her work cut out for her Nate is not an easy nut to crack In the midst of chaos they are faced with the possibility of losing each other again and with that not being an option either wants choices are made that change their lives forever She calms his crazy and he has a hold on her desire to run They make a good team Hold on You Originally posted on on you is a story about second chances that proves love is patient and waits. Book hold you down that night changed everything for him His heart turned to the cold blackness that it is today He does what one has to in order to survive Tragic circumstances are happening around him and he has no control The only place he feels he has that control is when standing on the cliffs. Hold on your day is coming Madison is back in town due to circumstances beyond her control In laymen terms the quicker she gets out of this place the better cause being here is nothing but bad memories waiting to tackle her. Hold on your day is coming S Brannon She has outdone herself with this second chance at love romance Rejection can be a very hurtful thing and that is true for Nate The girl he has loved his whole life rejects him in the worst way That sets him on his path of self destruction for ten years When Maddie reenters his life the hurt and anger come with a vengeance However behind the pain lurks the feelings he has always had for Maddie Will it be enough Will Maddie s plan at an apology work or will it backfire and leave her worse for the wear This story is beautifully written with characters that you love You are pulled in and will not want to put this one down Great job Hold on You This was an absolutely beautiful story I just couldn t put it down once I started it Goodness the emotional journey you take will break you and mend you all at once The characters are likeable and relatable and you can feel the deep connection they have When you have lost the one you loved the most how do you move on How do you get through the pain Nate and Maddie were best friends only Nate was in love with her when he finally gets the courage to tell her how he feels she runs For the past ten years his life has been in a tailspin and the night he decides to get rid of the pain fate steps in and brings Maddie back into his life Maddie has seemed to have lost everything and somehow ends up back in her hometown This story is about two people finding their way back to each other and getting a second chance at love Will they get things right this time A very beautifully written story about letting go of the past forgiveness and finding that once in a lifetime love This is a very powerful story that will break your heart but leave you rooting for this couple to make it. Hold on you got stars in your eyes lyrics 5 starsI wanted to love this book because let s face it who isn t a sucker for a second chance at first love But I found that while it grabbed my attention in the beginning it began to fall apart for me just a few chapters in At times was a bit drawn out an slightly repetitive. Recipe book holder I had a hard time with Nate letting go of so much anger not to mention his alcohol addiction at the drop of a hat and having no side effects whatsoever It just wasn t the least bit realistic to me and I found myself struggling to finish it As much as I wanted to like Nate to see him become whole and live again after his admission about his ex I found I no longer cared if he survived or was happy ever again That particular incident is horrific and should never happen but the fact that he so easily got over it just after telling Madison the truth just doesn t sit right with me So as much as the blurb drew me in the story disappointed Hold on You Another great read from MS Brannon I truly enjoyed it and can t wait to see what she gives us next Hold on You REVIEW TO FOLLOW Hold on You My heart lurches and the agony throbbing in my side is soon masked by the feeling of uncertainty this moment has brought Madison Stone Life has a way of always keeping you tethered to someone or something in your past It grabs you threatening to never let go and when you eventually attempt to release it completely you are forced to face it instead For Madison and Nate that is certainly true Finishing their senior year life couldn t have been better for them They were young reckless spontaneous and most importantly they were best friends However for Madison when the future s path was presented to her she only understood one notion escape Ten years later Madison believed she had all she ever wanted She was convinced she had done everything right by pursuing a life on her own Then it all began to rapidly fall apart Nothing was certain any In her mind everything was lost leading her back to the very place she had abandoned a decade ago For Nate since the night Madison ran off life had been the opposite slowly and painfully continuing to unravel around him Over those ten years he lost everything he held dear As he had done time and time before Nate found himself at the very spot where his pain had all begun teetering on the edge of moving on or fading away Now as they see all they tried to escape lying before them Nate and Madison are forced to face the past and finally understand what it is about the other that keeps this unrelenting Hold on You Hold on YouWhat a fantastic second chance romance novel It hooked me and sucked me in from the very first breathtaking page and I do mean breathtaking I had to know what happened Nate and Madison became best friends in middle school He was intrigued by this beautiful angry girl He saw past her rough fa ade and saw the young girl who was hurting so badly As time went on Nate was always there to rescue her By the time they reached the end of high school he knew he was in love However for some reason Madison rejected him and left town Fast forward ten years and Nate is filled with self hatred regrets anger and pain Her rejection was just the beginning of the heartache that came into his life However fate is not quite done with them and one night on the cliff where Madison left him she is dropped back into his life Nate only sees anger and hatred when he is around her but Madison is seeing him in a whole new light Will they each be able to let the past go and give love a second chance As usual M. Hold on yola lyrics S Brannon pulled at my emotions There were times that I wasn t sure if I hated the characters or loved them Nate is one of the most complicated frustrating yet loving characters I have ever come across If I could have gotten my hands on him at times I would have strangled him But I couldn t not love him I could understand that Madison s rejection devastated him and to give him credit that was just the tip of the iceberg of the heartache that came his way I wasn t exactly a fan of Madison s either in the beginning I thought she was selfish in the way she treated Nate and I couldn t believe she would abandon him but again I could understand because of her childhood and her young age Sometimes it s just not the right time but that doesn t mean it s the end of the story So you may be wondering why I gave the book 5 stars if I wasn t much of a fan of Nate and Madison in the beginning but that is exactly why I gave it 5 stars M S Brannon is one of those rare writers who can take a dark painful situation yet turn it into something good just like real life Life is full of pain but it s also full of love and joy Bad things can sometimes turn into the best life lessons and force us to be the individuals we were created to be just as was the case with Nate and Madison M. Hold on you song S Brannon has proven again that she can write just about anything Her books involve all sorts of characters and situations but they all have a common theme healing redemption and the importance of love If you want a book that pulls at your heartstrings and sucks you into a story to the point that you are a part of it give her a try As always I am anxiously looking forward to seeing what she has in store next for her readers Her books include the Sulfur Heights Series Last Call and YA book Believing In Brave Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews Copy provided for an honest review Hold on You Yeah for the second chance romance One of my all time faves Not only second chance but they were young kids when they met and best of friends for years Nate and Maddie spent so many years being best of friends Madison returns to the hometown she hoped she d never see again the one she left behind along with the boy she refused to marry What Madison doesn t expect is for Nate to hate her so much Nate has been through a lot He had never gotten over Madison and when she makes her unexpected appearance old bitter feelings are brought to surface. Book hold on to your kids I would like to say that the author s idea was very good and the beginning of the story is very entertaining intriguing making you want to know what has happened between Maddie and Nate Unfortunately for me it didn t work that way as the story kept unfolding It was a little bit repetitive and kept dragging at some point I really couldn t understand how they could go from hating each other to realizing that they are in love in just a few pages I would have liked to see how their relationship develops now when they re adults and after everything they went through Also him getting better letting go of everything just like that didn t sit well with me I can t say I was impressed by Nate s character. Hold on you got stars in your eyes introspective so I could have gotten the chance to learn about her motivations and feelings before she finally admitted them to Nate I wish there was of a lead up to Nate s fighting Basically I just wanted a longer and deeper story than what I got It just kind of felt like the tip of the iceberg However I did enjoy it and I do recommend it for fans of contemporary romance with a bit of rawness and reality to it Hold on You
