The Well of Ascension, Part 3 (Mistborn #2, 3/3) By Brandon Sanderson

Defiant the fourth and final volume of the series that started with Skyward in 2018 comes out in November 2023 capping an already book filled year that will see the releases of all four Secret Projects Tress of the Emerald Sea The Frugal Wizard s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England Yumi and the Nightmare Painter and Secret Project Four with its official title reveal coming October 2023 These four books were all initially offered to backers of the 1 Kickstarter campaign of all time. November 2022 saw the release of The Lost Metal the seventh volume in the Mistborn saga and the final volume of the Mistborn Era Two featuring Wax Wayne The third era of Mistborn is slated to be written after the first arc of the Stormlight Archive wraps up. In November 2020 we saw the release of Rhythm of War the fourth massive book in the New York Times 1 bestselling Stormlight Archive series that began with The Way of Kings and Dawnshard book 3. 5 a novella set in the same world that bridges the gaps between the main releases This series is my love letter to the epic fantasy genre and it s the type of story I always dreamed epic fantasy could be The fifth volume Wind and Truth is set for release in fall 2024. Most readers have noticed that my adult fantasy novels are in a connected universe called the Cosmere This includes The Stormlight Archive both Mistborn series Elantris Warbreaker and various novellas available on including The Emperor s Soul which won a Hugo Award in 2013 In November 2016 all of the existing Cosmere short fiction was released in one volume called Arcanum Unbounded If you ve read all of my adult fantasy novels and want to see some behind the scenes information that collection is a must read. I also have three YA series The Rithmatist currently at one book The Reckoners a trilogy beginning with Steelheart and Skyward For young readers I also have my humorous series Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians which had its final book Bastille vs the Evil Librarians come out in 2022 Many of my adult readers enjoy all of those books as well and many of my YA readers enjoy my adult books usually starting with Mistborn. Evil has been defeated The war has just begun They did the impossible deposing the godlike being whose brutal rule had lasted a thousand years Now Vin the street urchin who has grown into the most powerful Mistborn in the land and Elend Venture the idealistic young nobleman who loves her must build a healthy new society in the ashes of an empire They have barely begun when three separate armies attack As the siege tightens an ancient legend seems to offer a glimmer of hope But even if it really exists no one knows where to find the Well of Ascension or what manner of power it bestows It may just be that killing the Lord Ruler was the easy part Surviving the aftermath of his fall is going to be the real challenge The Well of Ascension Part 3 Mistborn 2 3 3 4. I grow to like and connect to the characters and even though I still miss Kelsier And since the beginning of part 1 3 of the Well of Ascension I have had a feeling that Vin or Elend maybe both will die in the ongoing war and turmoil I can still only hope this is not going to come true but all the other deaths in these book seem to point out that my feeling might be correct I ll have to wait and see. I really like the way the romantic relationship is written like it is just a part of life which it is and not like the most important or otherwise big thing in the story And the fact that hardly anything seems to be black and white but all grey makes me love the book even . Even though the story is nice it is still not completely original among the fantasy I have read which is no way near as much as it should be This and the writing especially in dialog that seems to be off at certain moments made me give all three parts of the Well of Ascension not 5 stars but 4. I d definitely recommend reading this book or maybe even better listening to this audio version Audio CD I hope you aren t yet sick of me expressing my undying love for these dramatized adaptations They are a great way of experiencing your favorite stories and make them come to life with a great cast of voice actors and sound effects music If you love audiobooks you ll love this even And I d wager even if audiobooks aren t your thing but you love movies and reading GraphicAudio truly is a movie in your mind Audio CD This is a review for the Graphic Audio version of the Mistborn Trilogy. Review of The Final EmpireReview of The Well of AscensionI listen to audiobooks all the time I enjoy them a lot even if I m reading along while listening When I discovered that Graphic Audio produced these magnificent audios for the Mistborn Trilogy I decided that I had to listen to them while reading my copies of the books. For those who don t know what s the difference between Graphic Audio and common audiobook productions the former has music sound effects and a whole cast Yes A narrator and one actor per character The cast was great they matched the character s voices I had imagined pretty well. I can assure you they are amazing I can t explain it with words just go and try them They will change the way you think about audiobooks Audio CD Once again I enjoyed this book The last part was so engrossing that I had to listen to the whole audiobook in 1 go. Mistborn Elend vs Straff would be a good one to start with Especially realizing now that Elend had become a Mistborn After Zane s demise Vin was seeming to have become this ridiculously overpowered mistborn at one moment it seemed to me that even Marsh would nd stand a chance against her Assuming that Vin was oblivious about the needles being the weak spots of an inquisitor I would say that in my honest opinion this book although not as good as the former book it had its excellent ups and moderate downs The spy Kondra Tindwyl s death are some of the best secens in the book Another thing that caugth my interest was Elend s character development From a naive boy who would prefer to sit in a corner and read his books while expecting to not have any human interaction to a wise leader who would put his people ahead of his own needs The politics in the books have to be one of the most intriguing plot out of most of the books I have read excluding Jefferey Archer of course Audio CD Pode ter sido a influ ncia do audiodrama mas eu gostei Audio CD
